Eastman House

When my clients asked if I would help with their Airbnb styling, I couldn't wait to get started. 

Newly remodeled, I wanted to give the neutral-hued home a little pop, for a memorable experience and 5 star reviews. Two small easy to move hex tables act as the coffee table in front of the sleeper sofa. We even added a ring lamp for the business guests to have perfect lighting on their zoom calls. 

Since the bedroom has a long window over the bed, we kept the headboard fairly low and selected a platform bed so it would not visually swallow the room. My favorite piece in the home is the artwork of the lady with the pencil. She's random and folks will get a tickle or a conversation going. 

Two Story Entryway

Now, when you walk in to this two story entrance, you feel grandeur and you can't wait to see more of the home. 

At the start of this project, the goal was to add more interest and life to the space, so it was just as interesting as the rest of the home. There are not a lot of walls to add artwork as you can see so... 

First, we lightened up the walls with Benjamin Moore Simply White. This is a gorgeous warm, soft white color that works well with many styles. We changed out the existing light fixtures to modern styles and incorporating brass metal into the design. 

Wall molding is key here. It plays off of the architecture of the entrance while adding movement and interest to the walls. We applied the wall molding to the base of the stairs and along the stairwell wall for a complete wow factor! Lastly, my clients wanted to refresh their banister without breaking the bank for an entire new set up. We primed and painted the newels, hand rail, and balusters all Benjamin Moore MoorGlo Soft Gloss Finish in Black for contrast and for an extra statement to this grand entrance.

Seward Lane

Traditional elements and modern furnishings give this Living and Dining Room a unique, eclectic vibe. The rose colored velvet chairs make the marble top dining table pop. The inspiration for the room is from the stunning tribal beauty you see on the wall from the Daasanach tribe in Africa. 

We added wall molding to both rooms to add interest and elevate the design to the next level. Wall sconces were added to highlighted the artwork and add warmth to the walls. While brass was the primary metal used, the bleached drum coffee table and wood accessories soften the glamour of the metal. 

The Sancturary on 28th St

This eclectic short-term rental, originally a church, was renovated with fresh paint, lighting, furnishings, and wood accents walls. 

The entry was once the entrance into the church, and so it was most appropriate to add stained glass doors here. Shiplap was installed on the recessed wall to add depth. 

The living room offered a challenge indeed. There are no windows and extremely high ceilings. A large two armed sconce lights up the darkest corner of the room, and shiplap was added on the fireplace to add more dimension. Floor space is minimal, so the wall mounted bookcase and narrow coffee table were perfect solutions. 

In the kitchen, we built a custom eating ledge for added countertop space and coffee time. Everything you need for a weekend or an extended stay is all here. 

While the bedroom does not have a large footprint, it makes a big statement. Layers of plush bedding welcome guests and a tall dresser gives extra storage who don't like living out of their suitcase.

Vintage Revamp

Adorable studio apartment remodel close to downtown Boise. When my clients asked me to remodel their short term vacation rental property, I couldn't wait to get started. While the space is small, we went with fun color punches, patterns, and textures. 

Sky View

Split between the owners vacation home and a short term vacation rental, this home has everything you need for a relaxing and fun stay. Sleeping up to twelve guests, we needed functional and visually intriguing pieces to appeal to the masses. From the furniture to the kitchenwares, K. Atwood Design did it all. We obtained custom photography prints of the surrounding landscape.
